The imposing Agave plant is a strong central element found in the Sonoran desert of southern Arizona. To my preference, it has no spines to harm, but rather tips that are a bit sharp. The leaves are broad, smooth and strong, like the skin of a whale. Nestled in the mountains and visited by fish in the night time dream journey.

All Gicleés are printed using Hahnemühle’s new Natural Line of papers that are an eco-friendlier format for fine art papers. These papers are produced from unique raw materials: bamboo, hemp and agave. All three of these plants require minimal maintenance, grow quickly and are free of pesticides when grown. Their rapid growth also means more cellulose can be produced on the same cropland than those that use other raw materials. They also require much less water, meaning they use fewer growing resources achieving a more environmentally friendly status.
