In northern Minnnesota we have Lake Superior – Our inland sea. There are beautiful, rocky shores with lush pine forests above where many weekends have been spent backpacking with friends along the Superior National Trail, a continuous hiking trail that stretches hundreds of miles. I always bring a camera along to capture inspiration and remember what I saw, and then paint from them in studio. This is one such find.

All Gicleés are printed using Hahnemühle’s new Natural Line of papers that are an eco-friendlier format for fine art papers. These papers are produced from unique raw materials: bamboo, hemp and agave. All three of these plants require minimal maintenance, grow quickly and are free of pesticides when grown. Their rapid growth also means more cellulose can be produced on the same cropland than those that use other raw materials. They also require much less water, meaning they use fewer growing resources achieving a more environmentally friendly status.
